Admitted Transfer Next Steps Checklist
Next Steps for Admitted Spring 2025 Transfers
To accept the offer, submit your $400 enrollment deposit through your Applicant Portal by December 1, 2024.
Once you have officially accepted your offer and your payment has been processed (typically 48-72 hours after your payment is received), you will receive an email with instructions on how to create your VT Username followed by @vt.edu. This account can then be accessed through Microsoft Outlook by entering the full email address.
SRAR Group: Enrolling students required to complete the Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR) for admissions review are also required to return to their Applicant Portal to update and resubmit the SRAR with any curricular changes and final academic outcomes through Fall 2024 noted*. Most students will simply need to unlock the SRAR, update reported in-progress grades for Fall 2024, and fully submit.
The SRAR update must be submitted, where required, by January 3, 2025.
Unofficial Transcript Group: Enrolling students who did not submit the SRAR as part of their application requirements should provide an updated unofficial transcript from their current institution, which must include final academic outcomes through Fall 2024*. Unofficial transcripts can be emailed as an attachment to admissions@vt.edu.
The Unofficial transcript update must be received, where required, by January 3, 2025.
*Enrolling students without documented in-progress coursework must also complete the above requirement for their respective group by unlocking and fully resubmitting the SRAR or by providing an updated unofficial transcript. This action confirms no new grade outcomes or curricular changes should be expected on forthcoming official transcripts or other official documents, which may arrive after the semester begins.
All Students: In addition to the above, all enrolling students must provide a final, official transcript from each college or university attended, including for any dual enrollment work. You must also send AP/IB/CLEP or other official score reports for credit noted in your submitted Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR) or otherwise provided for admissions review.
All official transcripts with final outcomes through the Fall 2024 term, as well as any required score reports, must be received by February 1, 2025.
Providing a high school transcript is also strongly recommended, especially if you have world language credit as this can apply towards certain graduation requirements.
Send transcripts and score reports via electronic delivery or physical mail to:
