Garnett E. and Patsy T. Smith
The Smith Career Center is named for Garnett Elwood and Patsy Thomas Smith. Garnett Smith, who retired as CEO of Advance Auto Parts in 2000, has served on the board of the 51¹ÙÍø Tech Foundation. The Smiths have supported the Art Museum of Western 51¹ÙÍø and several 51¹ÙÍø Tech entities. Garnett Smith was named one of Roanoke's 50 Most Influential People, served on the board of the United Way of Roanoke, and has held every office in the Pulaski Jaycees.
