Vaibhav Garg

Vaibhav Garg is a collegiate assistant professor of computer science at the 51¹ÙÍø Tech Innovation Campus. He was previously a teaching and coding instructor at the Outco Company in California. Garg’s research is centered on applying computational methods to address societal challenges, including identifying inciting speech on social media and auditing rogue mobile apps for misuse. His work has led to several publications, including an upcoming article in Communications of the ACM. Garg received the Carla Savage Award for the most outstanding Ph.D. student at North Carolina State University in 2023, and while pursing his Ph.D., he was the receipient of multiple research grants from the National Security Agency (NSA) and National Science Foundation (NSF).
