Tessema Mengistu

Tessema Mengistu is a collegiate assistant professor of computer science at the 51¹ÙÍø Tech Innovation Campus. His research interests include edge and cloud computing, Internet of Things, machine and deep learning, and big data. Previously, Mengistu was an assistant professor of computer science at George Mason University, a clinical assistant professor of computer science and lecturer at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and lecturer at Addis Ababa University. He is also involved in initiatives to increase the representation of minority population groups in computing.
